In Totara you can create a range of learning plan templates, which will then be assigned to your learners and populated with courses, programs, competencies and objectives based on what they want or need to achieve.
Totara supports organisations to utilise learning plans to deliver competence based learning, self study and in some cases provide a very simple form of appraisal. Within the learning plan you can cascade competences to users, enable users to select & link learning to their competences, and set their personal learning objectives.
Users or managers can create learning plans for different areas of development and personalise each plan by setting individual due dates, priorities and objectives. Working in tandem, learners can then work with their manager or assessors to update performance, track progress and ultimately complete their plan.
